“Oh hey, Mr. Carson…”
I’m looking over Lance’s shoulder to my imaginary Mr. Carson. Just as soon as his head turns, I flick my wrist and a can of peaches screams off the shelf and hits him.
Square in the crotch. Direct hit.
His hands immediately cup his privates, and I see him wince, but only for a fraction of a second.
I’m standing in the middle of the aisle, wanting so badly to yell out “Ha Ha”…or “Gotcha”…or “How ya like me now?” Or something clever like that. My mouth has turned up into a smile, and I watch as he slowly looks up.
My smile dies a quick death.
He’s pissed. I mean…pissed. Like his eyes are glowing kind of pissed. I have no idea what he is, and suddenly I am full of fear. I do what every self-respecting intelligent adult female would do.
I turn around and run for my life.

I'm the type of person that reads books that are recommended to me by friends, family or social media. I don't go to book stores or read the back covers in grocery or pharmacies. While looking on my Kindle for a book to read as I wait for the next or last book of the Crossfire series to be published in May-I came accross this book Night Stocker-I took a chance, it appeared to be very interesting from the portion that I read. I downloaded the book and read the entire story into the night to finish it and find out what was going to happen. I know that it it part of a series and after reading the first book- I can't wait to read the rest of the series.After reading the "TOP" books of last year-I found them to be somewhat non-realistic. As a woman I love to read erotic novels-not too racey and I'm in awe of the paranormal, good versus evil and Heaven and Hell. This book is so creatively and so very well written, it combines everything that I'm lookingfor in a novel to read. I would HIGHLY recommend this book-it is sincerely a page turner and I love the characters-I can relate to this characters as they seem to be from both my past and a couple from the present.
Read this book! You will be so glad that you did.

If I had magical powers like Meghan Foster, I would use them to manipulate all customers on to buy this book...
Meghan Foster, a 24 year old, is a cocky, witty, feisty heroine with a smart mouth.
She is the Queen of the Damned, the ruler of Dysfunctional Slacker Land, the CEO of Night Shift Degenerates or in other words a shelf stocker at Sav-Som-Bux.
She profits from her magical powers at her job and with all the people she interacts with on a daily basis Carson, Serg, Herb, Melvin, Carly and all the others who work with her, are being manipulated to her advantage without knowing it.
Enter Lance..
Sent from the devil to stop Meghan abusing her abilities, and screwing with the balance between good and evil, he turns her world upside down. Not only is he totally unaffected by her magical skills, he has some even greater ones...and he looks like Adam Levine, which causes Meghan's little heart to flutter involuntarily!!!

The ensuing duel between both characters and all the crazy things happening on their shifts at the store, had me laughing to tears.
After having read this hilariously funny novel, I sifted out the secret of Meghan. I learned if relationships between humans and the devils coworkers are possible and what challenges Meghan has to master, when bereft of her skills...
And then I was all geared up for the continuation of her story in Dead End Girl The Misadventures of Meghan Foster...

I honestly had NO IDEA what to expect from Anlyn Hansell's Night Stocker, because the blurb intrigued me and the cover confused me. This turned out to be really apt because Night Stocker is one of those books which will intrigue and confuse you simultaneously!
Heroine Meghan Foster is as sarcastic as they come. Although she's jaded in terms of her own life and situation, she always ends up trying to help others (even when she really doesn't want to). Sometimes characters have great one-liners, but Meghan had a constant stream of them and had me in stitches for most of the book. She's often ridiculous and very cynical, yet hopeful and unfortunate at the same time.
Meghan's past is not pretty and she tries to remain distant and disinterested in her life and job as a shelf stacker, but her not-quite-human powers set her apart from the rest of her colleagues. It was interesting to see Meghan's reaction to the hot and mysterious Lance when he arrives. As for Lance; he does get a small POV every now and again, which provided an interesting alternative to Meghan's take on the situation. Like Meghan, I was torn between wanting to slap and swoon at him!
The book is the first in the series and ends on a cliffhanger. Where cliffhanger's often annoy me, I felt it worked here and sets the story up nicely for the next instalment. An interesting and unique story, that I'm still not entirely sure what to make of!

Night Stocker is a hilarious romp in the spirit of Clerks mixed with Charmed! Meghan is the Night Shift Manger at Sav-Som-Bux. Her and her rag tag group of workers really have a lot of fun doing their job, or more accurately, playing late night games of beer pong. Not only is Meghan the Queen of the Night Shift, she has some quirky supernatural powers as well.
Meghan's world changes when Lance starts working at the store. He is sexy as sin, with warm chocolate eyes, a yummy tat and a deep voice that makes her tingle in some interesting places. But there is something off about him as well...he seems to have powers like hers.
I could not put this book down. Meg's sarcastic wit and snarky comments. Lance and his forceful and dominating ways. From the very beginning until the very end I was hooked! The connection between Meg and Lance is fierce, arousing, and scorching! If they are not trying to kill each other, they are having one of their erotic, "I-am-not-even-touching-you-and-you-want-me" moments! You will laugh so hard are the antics of all the characters in this story! Be warned the moment you start reading this story you will not want to put it down! A must read that has the right amount of spice, romance, and comedy!

Who knew the shenanigans that went on during night shifts...and with interesting, unexpected twists. This book was well written, entertaining and a quick read. I hope everyone gets to meet their "Lance".
A whole lot of wacko characters and all kinds of crazy things going on. Very funny book. I enjoyed it.
I refuse to waste my time reading any more stupid books. There are so many better books out there. Pass on this. It's not funny, it's stupid.
